Tanning for wedding parties

Appointment
attire
and post-tan attire
- Women
can wear a bathing suit or
just a thong.
- Men
must wear at least boxers,
shorts or swimming trunks.
- Make
sure to wear old undergarments or swimwear.
- We
will provide a shower cap for
the hair.
- Bring flip-flops or
loose shoes to wear home. In the summer
months, we recommend driving home barefoot.
- Stick to loose
fitting clothing for
the ride home. We advise against
wearing a bra immediately afterward.

75% of all people who receive an airbrush

Therefore, it is necessary to educate you
so you
can prepare for the best tan ever. We will
start out with a few
faqs, then give you info pre-tan preparation
and post tan care.

Does
it rub off on clothing? |
- If
it does rub off, it usually washes
right out with a little pre-treatment.
However - we would avoid wearing silk, rayon and wool until after you shower
off the solution.

Pre-Tan
Preparation
- Start
moisturizing your
skin a few days before your appointment
if you have dry skin. If you use drug
store lotions, they are less likely to
hydrate your skin as they sit on top
of the skin instead of penetrating down
into the skin. We recommend our Moorea
Moisturizer.
- Exfoliate
your entire body . Using a
loofah alone is not proper exfoliation.
Use our Sunrise
Coffee Scrub for the best results.
You'll continue to enjoy it long after
your tan is gone as it has firming and
anti-aging agents in it.
- Refrain
from using moisturizer at
least six hours before the tan.
- For women, make
sure to shave your underarms and
legs before your session.
- Remove
your makeup and deodorant before
your session.
- Pre-Tan
Ph Balancing Optimizer Treatment If
you scrub your face alot, chances are your
Ph balance is not normal, which affects
the results of your airbrush tan. To get
a more even over-all tan, try our Ph balancing
treatment that we airbrush onto your skin
to give you a more even colored tan, despite
any dry areas of your body.

Post-tan
care and facts
- Wait
at least 6 to 8 hours to shower or get
wet unless you are doing the speed tan,
which allows you to wash off after 4 hours. If
your appointment is late in the day, you
can wait until the next morning but do
not leave it on longer than 12 hours.
- Avoid
profuse sweating at all costs before your
shower.
- .The
cosmetic bronzer will wash off when you
shower. This is not your tan. This
gave you an instant look of tanned skin.
After you get out
of the shower, you will see your airbrushed
tan which is a result of the proteins in
your skin reacting to the chemicals in the
airbrush solution.
- Wait
at least 24 hours to start tanning outdoors
or in a tanning bed.
- Water
and exercise decrease the
chance your tan will last the full seven
to 10 days.
- Indoor
tanning prior to your sunless application,
can boost your results. At our
salon, you can pay
an additional $14 for a single tan in the
standup unit before your session. Please
arrive an additional 20 minutes early for
signing
up and tanning in the standup unit.
- It
does
not protect against harmful UV rays.
- Use
soap-free body wash. For instance, the California
Tan body wash is perfect PH-balanced with zinc
to help extend the tan.
- Use
a tan extender to even out the skin
when the tan starts to fade. We recommend
using our Tahitian
Tan Extender. It
also has zinc in it to help optimize the tanning
results.
- Do
not use any products with mineral oil, or
baby oil, such
as Dove products.
- Refrain
from using self-tan extenders from your local
retail store. These can actually
ruin your sunless results as you would be
mixing two
different types and colors.
We also carry the California
Tan Enhancing AfterGlow. It is a bronzing, shimmer spray and
we carry Beach Bling which is a clear lotion with
shimmer in it. Perfect for applying on your wedding day or right
before a special event.
