Tanning Salon Lotions
We believe we are doing an injustice to our customers if
we do not offer and explain the different tanning lotions
to you.
Time and time again we are complimented and thanked
by our customers who have never used lotion or stopped using
lotion, for pointing out the benefits of lotion to them.
First and foremost, your skin exfoliates a lot quicker when you tan vs. when
you do not tan. If you do not use a quality lotion, your skin will exfoliate
faster and you will not reap the full benefits of tanning, i.e. a long lasting
tan.
Tanning lotions are designed to help accelerate the results of your tan, get
you through a tanning plateau, and keep your skin fresh and moist while you are
tanning to give you the best long lasting results you can get.
Why do tanning
lotions cost more than SPF lotion?
When you purchase an
indoor tanning lotion, you are purchasing
a complete skin conditioning system.
Most of the lotions contain a variety
of anti-aging ingredients
as well as melanin to help you tan better. Melanin is the key ingredient in getting
your skin to tan. Most of the tanning lotions found at Custom Tan contain a key
anti-aging ingredient called Matrixyl, which helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles
as well as Strivitan, which some have claimed is "better than botox."
We use primarly the Devoted Creations skin care line. All of the Devoted Creations
line is formulated with Strivitan, the anti-aging breakthrough. The key ingredient
in Strivitan, palmitoyl pentapeptide, was originally developed for wound healing.
Recent clinical tests on this amazing compound have proven to dramatically improve
skins smoothness and decrease wrinkle depth while increasing collagen and elastin.
It is shown to be even more effective than retinol or even vitamin C in reducing
fine lines and wrinkles associated with photo-aged skin.
